Run a course consisting of a lot of short legs with many changes in direction.
Aim: | Accurate direction in/out of the controls, get flow in the orienteering and map reading while running. |

Variants: | Can also be done on contour-only map. Also variants where you have a lot of controls, e.g. 100 or more controls which are really challenging for your concentration. |
Aids: | None required |
Terrain: | Any will do, but detailed areas are especially good. |
Preparations: | Draw a course with many controls on a map. |
Tips: | Put in a few longer legs / vary the difficulty in order to break the routine. |
